The Superintendent oversees sites in the construction, heavy civil, environmental remediation and related sectors throughout the province. The role will handle all aspects of the site on each project to complete safely on plan.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow project scope, understand subcontracts
- Work closely with Project Manager, reporting any variations in the plan for updated project plan and schedule
- Put in place work plans and ensure are on target for quality and work accuracy
- Manage and communicate health and safety requirements and expectations to the team
- Work with the client and manage change requests to plan
- Ability to read and understand drawings and project specifications
- 5-10+ years as a Foreman or Superintendent in a related industry - heavy civil, environmental or related
- Post secondary in a related engineering sector is an asset
- Ability to travel within BC based on project requirements
- Strong health and safety knowledge and focus
