With 75 years experience in Canada our Global solutions services partner is seeking their next HRBP to lead the national function of human resources across multi sites and employees in Canada. Supporting close to 300 team members the HRBP will be the key partner supporting the GM as the business continues to grow nationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes enterprise people strategies in collaboration with relevant HR functions and drives adoption of both business and HR initiatives locally.
- Partners with local leaders to provide operational support for business change, identify challenges and recommends solutions.
- Collaborates with leaders to drive an HR Culture of; Diversity & Inclusion, employee engagement and retention strategies locally.
- Partners with Site Leaders and works collaboratively with colleagues to improve the employee experience locally and/or regionally.
- Using broad local employment law knowledge, identifies market conditions and trends impacting talent attraction and retention and advises global/corporate HR partners on people and business implications.
- Executes people processes (including but not limited to onboarding, salary planning, talent development, performance and exit management) leveraging workforce analytics and insights.
- Provides guidance and interpretation of HR policies, procedures and processes, to ensure local adoption and compliance and identify areas of risk. Supports audit, compliance and other HR related programs locally.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree/College Diploma in HR, Business or related field.
- CHRP/CHRL designation a strong asset.
- At least 5+ years experience as an HRBP supporting multiple sites.
- Detailed knowledge of labor law as well as market knowledge with respect to employee/labour relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, terminations and severances.
- Results oriented and able to quickly grasp the “big picture”.
- Work daily w/ the GM and business leaders to help motivate and inspire overall team and corporate performance.
- French is an asset as they have an office in Quebec.
- Perform HR Admin functions as required. (There is a centralized Centre of Excellence that will take care of many admin tasks daily)
