Safety Advisor

This position can be based in either the Regina or Saskatoon office, with regular travel between locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s Health and Safety Management Program.
- Support the maintenance and renewal of the Certificate of Recognition (COR).
- Manage safety documentation, including reports and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Coordinate and oversee safety training programs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve non-compliance issues.
- Participate in health and safety inspections and assist with reporting requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Provide coaching and mentorship on safety practices to staff and contractors.
- Develop and update Safe Work Practices (SWP), Safe Job Procedures (SJP), and training materials.
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- 10+ years of Safety Advisory experience; at least 3 years in construction preferred.
- Strong understanding of OH&S legislation, accident investigation, and safety documentation management.
- Expertise in conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse teams.
- Analytical proficiency to assess safety data and drive continuous improvement.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification preferred.
