Our client, a premier Canadian developer/builder, is seeking a dedicated Safety Advisor to support their new and existing residential developments across Saskatchewan. In this critical role, you will champion safety excellence, drive the organization's health and safety culture, and oversee the continuous improvement of the Health and Safety Management Program.
This position can be based in either the Regina or Saskatoon office, with regular travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s Health and Safety Management Program.
  • Support the maintenance and renewal of the Certificate of Recognition (COR).
  • Manage safety documentation, including reports and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Coordinate and oversee safety training programs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Participate in health and safety inspections and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship on safety practices to staff and contractors.
  • Develop and update Safe Work Practices (SWP), Safe Job Procedures (SJP), and training materials.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • 10+ years of Safety Advisory experience; at least 3 years in construction preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S legislation, accident investigation, and safety documentation management.
  • Expertise in conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse teams.
  • Analytical proficiency to assess safety data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification preferred.
