Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Field Sales Manager to join their team, providing support in coaching, development, and field engagement with their sales teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in the beverage alcohol industry, combined with leadership skills and a proven ability to drive sales results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Support: Provide support to retail and on-premise sales teams by accompanying them in the field (2-3 days per week) to offer guidance, coaching, and assistance. Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Coaching and Training: Design and deliver sales training programs that enhance the team's product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Performance Management: Work closely with the Sales Director to track sales metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to boost sales and meet targets.
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, conducting regular business reviews and offering tailored support to maximize sales potential.
- Market Analysis: Partner with internal teams to conduct market research and analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and competitive threats to inform sales strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales and promotional activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, especially those related to alcoholic beverages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales performance and achieving targets.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a talent for motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and influencing at all levels.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to guide decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of the liquor industry, including products and regulatory policies. Completion of wine and spirit courses (e.g., WSET 2) is required.
