Frontend Technical Lead

MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our Shopify Agency client to find a first class Frontend Technical Lead to join their Remote team. The primary responsibility of this role will be the successful delivery and implementation of all technical aspects of custom eCommerce websites built on Shopify.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:

Own frontend feature development, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
Expertise with the Shopify eCommerce platform and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Communicate effectively with clients, developers, and product managers, addressing issues and solutions.
Provide detailed attention to acceptance criteria, edge cases, and potential issues during development.
Plan, delegate tasks, anticipate risks, and work closely with clients to align development with business goals.

You should have the following in your background to apply:

Senior-level experience with frontend frameworks like Liquid, JavaScript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, and Git.
Expertise in Shopify development, including Themes, APIs, Apps, Functions, and Extensions.
3-5 years of eCommerce experience with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in web performance, accessibility, API handling, design systems, and understanding user behaviors in eCommerce.
Skilled in mentoring engineers, managing multiple projects, and writing technical documentation for diverse audiences.
