Based in the Vancouver area office and reporting to the HR leadership, the ER/LR Manager will contribute significantly to the strategies and polices that ensure productive relationships are maintained with both the unionized and non unionized divisions of the organization across Western Canada and in Washington State.
What you will be doing:
- Development of labour relations polices and procedures
- Staying current on labour laws, and internal CBAs and other relevant contracts
- Guiding company leadership on all LR matters
- Preparing for contract negotiations and joining CBA negotiations
- Supporting the management of grievances, conducting investigations, mediations, and arbitrations
- Leading employee relations programs to ensure strong employee engagement
- Ensuring company is in compliance with relevant labour laws and regulations in Canada and the United States.
- Developing and delivering training for leadership on ER/LR matters
- You have a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or otherwise relevant area of study
- You have 10 years of LR experience, ideally with experience in both Canada and the US
- You are well versed on labour laws, collective bargaining, and union-management relations.
- You are a strong negotiator and communicator and possess sharp conflict resolution skills.
