On behalf of our partner; a leader in the building materials space, we are looking for a visionary leader with a powerful presence and an unstoppable drive to join their executive team. As the Director of Sales, you will bring strategic clarity & operational finesse to inspire & lead their ambitious salesforce.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a nationwide sales team to achieve revenue, profitability and strategic product targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies at the territory level to effectively grow revenue.
- Negotiate and close profitable agreements with large and key customers.
- Coach/Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
- Successfully commercialize new product launches.
- Bilingual Proficiency (English & French) required.
- University Degree required (ideally business related).
- Based in the GTA (preferably western GTA).
- Previous working experience as a VP, Director or National Sales Manager for 10+ years.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with building products, building materials, and the architecture and design community, including an understanding of the construction sector & the flow of money within it.
- Route to Market Expertise: Experience in both trade and retail environments.
- Lifecycle Management: Experience in recruiting, onboarding, developing, and promoting talent.
- Sales Structure Experience: Proficient in designing and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Understands a consultative solution-based sales approach (technical expertise, product and application knowledge are key differentiators).
