Director of Enrollment Services - 15 Month Contract

Our client, a prominent university is seeking a Director of Enrollment Services to join their team for a 15 month contract. Based at the downtown Vancouver campus, the successful candidate will serve as the key contact person for all enrollment functions, including admissions and student issues and concerns.

What you will be doing:
  • Co-coordinating the admissions process, student recruitment and marketing
  • Coordinating with Financial Aid and other University departments
  • Assisting in the management of course scheduling
  • Determining room assignments and maintaining student academic records
  • Managing student transfer credit and the campus’ participation in the BC transfer system.
  • Leads recruitment and admissions for Canadian and international students, including marketing and scholarships.
  • Counsels students on financial options, implements payment tools, and monitors tuition payments.
  • Manages student financial accounts, tax forms, financial aid, and scholarships in collaboration with Finance.
  • Oversees tuition refunds, reconciliation of journal entries, and improvements in payment processing.
  • Coordinates with campus leaders and U.S. counterparts on academic policies, probations, and honors.
  • Manages academic records, transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and registration systems.
  • Oversees transfer credits, BC association participation, and Student Aid BC inquiries.
  • Manages practicum, internship, study abroad, and exchange program registrations.
  • Ensures annual EQA designation renewal and submits bi-annual DLI Enrollment Report to Immigration Canada.
  • Develops and maintains student records, handbooks, and systems like Datatel, ISP Database, and Advise.
  • Oversees graduation processes, diploma distribution, and Commencement Ceremony planning.
  • Updates degree audits, supports alumni relations, and manages donations.
  • Prepares enrollment projections, reports, academic calendars, and course schedules.
  • Ensures adherence to University policies, manages the budget, and performs other assigned duties.
Who you are:
  • A Master’s degree or a combination of equivalent work experience and education are required; a Master’s degree in Student Enrollment and Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Enrollment Services with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, staff and faculty.
  • Strong problem solving skills, math aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work accurately with financial records and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Proficiency utilizing computer systems for data management, word processing and other applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Familiarity with Ellucian Colleague, ACCESS or similar Student Information System is required.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian immigration system is preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
