Commercial Estimator

General Duties
- Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to customers so they will want to do repeat business with Manufacturing
- Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and employees
- Read and comply with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Read and comply with Human Resources Policies and Procedures
- Assist in the success of Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.
Commercial Estimator
- Plan take-off of the commercial grille/register & mechanical equipment
- Assemble quantity and sell prices for their commercial grille/register & mechanical equipment
- Assist customer’s sales and technical queries in a timely and accurate way
- Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding performance
- Provide competitive pricing on all quotes submitted, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and market share
- Maintain accurate record of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted
- Control expense budget to ensure Company’s policies and procedures are being properly followed
- Participate in annual inventory count
- Work closely under the supervision of more senior estimators who will provide mentoring and coaching
- Potential for growth to an Inside Sales or Sales Support after 12-18 months depending on the individual
- Willing to upgrade education
- Assist in trade shows offered by suppliers and / or customers
- Participate in industry related associations, i.e., monthly meetings
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the industry/ mechanical systems (Advantage)
- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues
- Solid technical, communication and presentation skills to assist customers with proper HVAC selection
- Strong computer skills including estimating software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to be a long-term employee and contribute to the company’s overall success
