Business Development Representative
Our client is an independently owned and operated Canadian company operating across North America in specialized heavy-haul transportation. Serving niche, custom as well as specialized markets. Established as a key player in heavy haul for overweight, dimensional, and multi-dimensional cargo, the company is rapidly expanding as they pursue their corporate goal of making the standard of excellence for heavy-haul transportation. They are seeking a Business Development Representative based in Calgary, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
- Contact, solicit, and generate new customers
- Contact and maintain professional relationships with existing customers to increase the amount of business conducted with these customers. Overall objectives are to increase sales revenue.
- Update customers when required.
- Improve company position concerning market share and customer satisfaction.
- Develops and maintains personal relationships with key personnel at the customer account.
- Organize procedures and maintain customer support.
- Provide relevant information and reports to Senior Management.
- Collaborate with members of the team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through pricing, delivery, and follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with the Management team to develop creative strategies to attract and retain clients.
- provides weekly sales reports outlining activities and communications with clients.
- Familiarize yourself with company equipment and services.
- Attend trade shows where required.
- Assist in creation/updating of sales literature, website.
- Assist in maintaining sales pipeline spreadsheet regularly.
- Assist in organizing annual sales meetings.
- Visiting clients and load/offload sites where required
- Work towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with Senior Management.
- Assist other Sales staff in marketing and/or sales functions
- Minimum 5years of experience in the industry
- Knowledge of customized services offered
- Knowledge of the application of services to customer business
- Ability to create and execute project management support aids
