About the Role: The Salesperson oversees project management and leads the sales team, ensuring tasks are assigned effectively based on staff skills. They handle quoting, proposal preparation, order processing, tracking, and troubleshooting. Strong communication, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn are essential. The role requires flexibility with changing priorities and timely responses.
What you’ll be doing:
Negotiate, secure projects, and stay informed about the job market.
Provide feedback on bids, manage workload forecasting, and optimize profitability.
Assist engineers with product selection and project layout, while managing purchase orders and change orders.
Process orders, track deliveries, and handle discrepancies or site instructions.
Train staff, build customer relationships, and provide exceptional customer service while continuously improving service quality.
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering environment, with HVAC experience preferred.
University degree or college diploma; EIT classification is an asset.
Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings with minimal supervision.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a professional, self-motivated work ethic.
